KONSEP TAKDIR DALAM TEKS SULALATUS SALATIN MELALUI PERANAN PENGARANG ISTANA

FATE CONCEPT IN THE TEXT OF SULALATUS SALATIN BASED ON THE ROLE OF CASTLE’S AUTHOR

Abstract

Teks Sulalatus Salatin jelas sekali merupakan satu dokumentasi budaya dalam bentuk sastera sejarah yang sarat dengan pelbagai peristiwa takdir sejak zaman pra-Melaka sehinggalah kewujudan Melaka sebagai sebuah negara Islam. Objektif utama makalah ini adalah untuk mengenal pasti definisi konsep takdir dari sudut agama dan sudut bahasa. Manakala objektif kedua, ialah menjelaskan jenis-jenis takdir dan contoh-contoh peristiwa dalam konteks penulisan Sulalatus Salatin. Kepelbagaian takdir yang berlaku sama ada baik atau buruk terhadap sesebuah masyarakat Melayu tradisi telah memberi kesempatan kepada pengarang istana untuk menyampaikan tarbiah, dan ibrah kepada masyarakatnya. Metodologi kajian menggunakan kaedah kepustakaan dan analisis kandungan teks secara deskriptif. Melalui kajian ini, ternyata kebanyakan peristiwa takdir yang terkandung dalam teks Sulalatus Salatin ini mempunyai hubungan rapat dengan pendekatan keagamaan dan ketakmilahan yang menggesa umatnya melakukan kebaikan dan mencegah kemungkaran dalam memastikan kemakmuran sesebuah negara itu. Kebijaksanaan pengarang istana dalam mengolah penceritaan teks Sulalatus Salatin jelas meninggalkan impak positif kepada penyelidikan ini kerana khalayak dapat membuat tafsiran kendiri sama ada konsep takdir yang berlaku dalam teks sastera sejarah ini dikawal oleh pemerintah atau Tuhan Pencipta sekalian alam (Allah s.w.t). 

The Sulalatus Salatin text is clearly a cultural documentation, a historical literature chock-full with events since before the time of Melaka until its existence as an Islamic nation. The main objective of this literature is to ascertain the concept of fate and its definition from the lingual and spiritual points of view. The second is to explain the types of fate and events of example in the context of Sulalatus Salatin. The diversity of fate as it happened to the Malay community whether good or otherwise had given the royal scribe an opportunity to educate and expend its lessons to society. The research methodology used the library research method and descriptive textual analysis. Through this research, it is clear that there is a close relationship between events of fate and spiritual approach that urges the people to enjoin in what is good and prevent what is not, in ensuring the continuous prosperity of a country. The wisdom of the royal scribe in composing the stories in Sulalatus Salatin clearly left a positive impact on this research because the reader can make his own interpretation if the concept of fate as described in the text is controlled by the ruler or God Almighty.
